Big Eyed Phish Friday

Dave Matthews tribute band Big Eyed Phish played the Historic German House theater this Black Friday, November 27th. They played an acoustic and electric set composed of 7 members. For the acoustic set the bassist used a stand up chello and soloed the final song before the break. Their frontmans voice was very similar to Dave Matthews and he even told stories in a similar style to Dave, making the cover show seem much more authentic. The electric set was full of the energy with awesome solos by their fiddle and saxophone players. What a great way to end Black Friday!!

"High on Pennsylvania Bluegrass"

I always love the crowd at bluegrass shows. Young, old, hippie, spunion, sober...even my friend with a broken pelvis made it out! Musics ability to bring all kinds of people together has always fascinated me and this show was full of surprises.
